CarrierPoint: Inactivating Shipper Users
If a user is moving to a position where access to CarrierPoint will no longer be needed or is leaving the company entirely, the user account should be inactivated to prevent unintended access. This can be done by each division's Mill Administrator or Freight Administrator.
Nucor does not delete user accounts.
To inactivate a user:
- Go to Setup ... User Setup ... Users
- Search for the user to be inactivated
- Click the "Edit" link
- Change the user group to INACTIVE
- This user group has no ability to see or do anything in the system. Assigning the user name to this group ensures that if the user is re-activated in error, the user's access is still restricted
- Change the Status to INACTIVE
- Click Save
