CarrierPoint: Updating Shipper User Accounts
There may be situations where modifications need to be made to an existing shipper user's account
- Name changes
- Changes in job duties
- Transfer to a different division
To update a user account:
- Go to Setup ... User Setup ... Users
- Find the user account to be changed
- Click "view/edit"
- Make necessary changes
- Name fields may be changed in the event of a name change. The updated name will be shown on load logs and in contact fields. (Any previously entered load log entries will still reflect the 'old' name.)
- User group assigned may be changed in the event of a change in job duties
- Visibility to locations may be changed in the event of transfer to a new division or a change in job duties
- Click on the link "Assign User Access to Location"
- Check/uncheck boxes for locations as needed, being sure the radio button identifying the "home location" is moved as well, as appropriate
- Click Submit (no verification is shown)
- Click "Go Back" to return to the main User Setup page
- Click Submit to save and apply changes
The user will need to log out and the log back in for changes to be effective.
