CarrierPoint: Resetting User Passwords
If a shipper user is unable to use the "Forgot Password" links, or if the link is not working, Nucor users with administrator permissions can manually re-set the user's password. This includes Mill Administrators and Freight Administrators.
To reset a password for someone else:
- Go to Setup ... User Setup ... Users
- Locate the user's name
- Click the "view/edit" link
- Click the "Change password" button
- Enter your password in the "Current Password" box
For example: If Doug is resetting Marie's password, Doug will enter Doug's password
- Key 12345678 in remaining boxes as the new, temporary password
- Click the "Submit" button
- Back on the main user screen, verify the user's status is set to Active
- If the user log-in has been inactivated, you will need to reset it. Use the drop-down menu to change the Use Status back to Active, and then click Submit.
