Rail KPI Portal: Entering Car Forecast Data

Providing a forecast for the railroads helps them plan in advance how many cars will be designated to each of the divisions. This is why keeping this page with a good estimate is important. This page should be updated at the end of each quarter, planning for the next one. You can forecast with more time in advance but make sure the information you are entering is updated in case of any changes/expectations. There is no restriction to who can enter information - an admin, rail contact, etc. can enter data. Your division can designate whoever they feel will be able to fill out this information adequately.

To enter car forecast data follow these steps:

1. Log into Nucor’s Rail KPI Portal by clicking here or by using the link on the NucorNet Logistics page.

2. Select your division from the drop-down menu.

3. Click on the Car Forecast Data Entry page which is the fifth one on the list. This should take you to a new page.

4. You can select the year for which you want to add/update data.

5. Then you can add the number of cars you forecast to be ordering for each week of the year selected.
