CarrierPoint: Uploading Proof of Delivery documents (PODs)
There may be occasions when a Nucor division requests the carrier provide a copy of the customer-signed Bill of Lading, confirming receipt of the material being delivered(Proof of Delivery or POD). The POD can be attached to the load in CarrierPoint, allowing access to the requested document by both shipper and carrier users.
Attachments cannot exceed 15MB per load.
PODs can be attached using three different methods, as outlined below.
#1 - Attach a POD to a load from the View Shipment Details page
- Go to Tender ... View Load Tenders
- Find the load which requires the POD by using the Quick View search box
- Click the DSM number to go inside the load
- Scroll down to the Route Information section and click the "attached POD" link for the appropriate stop
- If there is more than one delivery stop on a given load and the division requests PODs be supplied, each POD must be added to the proper stop
- Add the POD file to the uploaded by either clicking the Select File button and using the navigation or by dragging the file into the bos; click "Upload File"
#2 - Attach a POD to a load from the Supply Delivery Confirmation page
- Go to Tender ... View Load Tenders
- Find the load which requires the POD by using the Quick View search box
- Click the "deliver" link in the Actions column
- Click the "attach POD" link located above the delivery confirmation section
- Add the POD file to be uploaded by either clicking the Select File button and using navigation or by dragging the file into the box; click "Upload File"
#3 - Attach a POD to a load using the mobile app
- Pull up the mobile app and go to My Load
- If the driver has not previously pinned the shipment as "my load" for position update pruposes, they may also search for teh load by DSM number
- Press the "Attach" box in the list of options at the bottom of the screen
- Use the camera phone to capture the image and save it to the load
NOTE: The driver must have appropriate permission configured for their user account in order to attach PODs using the mobile app. These permissions are managed by the carrier company for their users. These are not controlled by Nucor (or any other shipper).
