CarrierPoint: Fast Switching for Carrier Users
In cases where a carrier has more than one related carrier company account, CarrierPoint provides a means to associate a given user's multiple log-in IDs and display their available loads across several accounts. Some example situations where this may be applicable would be companies with different accounts by equipment (flatbed vs van), by authority/operation (brokerage vs. asset), or type of agreement with the shipper (over-the-road vs. dedicated).
This provides users the ability to easily switch between their various account log-ins.
The carrier must accept loads under the carrier company they intend to use to haul the load. There is no ability to switch loads between carrier companies once they have been awarded.
When configured, the user will have access to the screen functionality shown below within the View Load Tenders and Respond to Offers views:
There are couple of important points to remember about this feature:
- Although originally designed for use by carrier companies who have multiple company entries in CarrierPoint, this can be used by carrier users who represent more than one carrier company.
- The person who wishes to use this must have a user account under each carrier company and visibility to Nucor freight must have been granted in order for this to work.
- Push notifications would work for only the log-in that was originally pulled up as the "starting point" for the user session. (This is an authorization token limitation.) Email notifications would work for all log-ins as normal.
- Enabling this feature can only be done by CarrierPoint Support and is initiated at the carrier user's request.
