CarrierPoint: Finding Remittance Information for Payments
Nucor makes payment to carriers for freight invoices using electronic payments which are received via direct deposit in their bank account. Two reports are available in CarrierPoint to provide detailed information regarding what loads and amounts were included in the payment to assist with updating your payable records.
The first report that Nucor suggests using is called the “Please find attached Remittance Advice for invoices collected from/paid to your bank account on behalf of Nucor Steel.”
This report includes a listing of all loads included in each payment received by the carrier, as well as the check number and the date the payment was issued. We recommend scheduling this for daily delivery to the appropriate email address(es) to support your accounting needs. (The report email is suppressed if there is nothing to attach, so you will only receive the email on the day after a payment was made.)
To schedule the report:
1. Go to Analyze – Custom Reports
2. Find the report called “Please find attached Remittance Advice for invoices collected from/paid to your bank account on behalf of Nucor Steel”
3. Click on “schedule”
4. Click the “NEW” button
5. Set the parameters up for the delivery:
6. Click the “Submit” button
IMPORTANT: The report delivery will need to be re-newed every six months. When required, simply click the 'renew' link shown on the listing of scheduled reports.
This report can also be run as needed by clicking the generate link (instead of the schedule link) and then selecting the desired range of payment dates.
The other report that may be helpful is the Carrier Payment Report Detail v2.
This report is found in the same Report section as the above. Simply click the “generate” link and enter the date range you are looking for information on. Be sure to choose whether the dates you're using refer to the pickup date or delivery date and enter your SCAC code. Then click the Generate Report button. (Note that if the date range being requested is larger than one month, you will likely need to request the results be sent via email rather than on the screen.)
The report results will return everything in that time frame and show you what the payment status is for each load. Note this report will include loads in ALL payment status (Paid in Full, Pending Payment, Not Yet Paid, etc.)
